Kodak Black just got out of rehab and he ended up in police custody again, early Saturday.

Black was arrested on a trespassing charge in his hometown of Pompano Beach, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

The rapper born Dieuson Octave — who legally changed his name to Bill Kapri — was soon released after posting $25 bond, as per court documents.

His attorney Bradford Cohen did not immediately respond to the Miami Herald’s request for comment, but did tell TMZ that Black was at his old neighborhood delivering gifts when trouble arose.

As per a police report obtained by the Miami Herald, a BCSO deputy was at the Golden Acres complex responding to the sound of gunfire at around 1 a.m. when he made contact, by chance, with Black. The officer wrote in the report that he “personally” knew that the Housing Authority of Pompano Beach and Golden Acres development had a past cease and desist order against the hip-hopper.

According to TMZ, the Miramar resident visited the area last August to deliver and install air conditioning units to his old neighbors but the Housing Authority said that the star’s presence, along with his entourage, “adversely affected” residents’ ability to peacefully enjoy their property and banned him. The Miami Herald reached out to the authority on Monday but did not immediately hear back.

Cohen told the outlet the order didn’t get to Black personally, only to his record label.

The local rapper had been on the straight and narrow, completing 90 days at an unknown facility, his lawyer confirmed. A judge ordered him to complete it a few months back after failing a drug test, a violation of the terms of his supervised release in his federal gun case.

The 24-year-old with a long rap sheet was serving a 46 month sentence after admitting in 2019 that he falsified information on federal forms to buy firearms from a South Florida gun shop two separate times. Before leaving the White House, President Donald Trump handed Black a pardon and he was subsequently released.

On his Instagram Sunday, the singer released a lengthy, rambling video (including showing his followers how he puts on deodorant) in which he sent a happy new year message to his fans. He also noted the arrest was no big deal, repeated how much he appreciates Trump for commuting his sentence and that he is still “evolving” as an artist, father, son, brother, friend and member of the community.

“I’ve been doing so good, still doing good,” the chart topper tells the camera. “I don’t want it to be misinterpreted like I’m doing wrong. I’m evolving [and] have accomplished so much.”
